Sadleir House Appoints New Steward
The Board of Directors of the P. R. Community & Student Association is pleased to announce the appointment of Alissa Paxton as Steward of Sadleir House. Paxton brings nine years of experience as Sadleir House‚Äôs Convenor and a wide breadth of knowledge of Sadleir House and its role in the community. She is also is a graduate of Trent University and past president of the Peter Robinson College Cabinet.
The P. R. Community & Student Association Board of Directors wishes to thank outgoing Steward, Dwayne Collins, for his dedication and enthusiasm. Collins was foundational in seeing Sadleir House through its first decade of operation under student ownership and developing the facility into its current form. His many accomplishments include a successful 2009 Ontario Trillium Foundation grant to improve building accessibility, overseeing the development and implementation of a Grounds Master Plan, and setting up and expanding many of Sadleir House‚Äôs programmes including the Sadleir House Library and the Centre for Pixel Culture. He has also acted as an important resource for other Trent student groups.
After eleven and a half years of service, Collins is leaving to focus on his career as an academic librarian at Trent University.
